Ruth Shaw


Ruth began practicing Yoga and Meditation over 30 years ago. She trained in Thailand under the expert & powerful tutelage of Shakti Mhi, founder of Prana Yoga & Zen Centre in Vancouver, B,C. and is constantly inspired by many other wonderful teachers and practitioners from around the world.

Her background in Classical Hatha Yoga, as morphed into an elegant fusion of Ashtanga, (power) Iyengar, (alignment) Kundalini (dynamic breathing) and Yin Yoga (slow deep stretching for joints). Her classes, whatever level, focus on staying connected to the breath, developing body mind awareness, while at the same developing core strength, muscle tone, improved posture and inner confidence and radiance.

Ruth lives in Toronto where she teaches Yoga & Meditation at various studios around the city. She teaches “Yoga in the Workplace” for a variety of businesses, schools and corporations as well as teaching privately at her own studio.
