Our Teacher Training Courses...

Yoga Plus... offers the most thorough training in the city!  These programs have been refined over the past 12 years to become the complete package.  With extensive knowledge, our experienced teachers offer an incredible combination of teaching techniques that will allow all students to integrate the skills they learn.  The courses are 320 hour programs (200 classroom hours + 120 hours of your own practice time) They combine history, philosophy, asana (movement), pranayama, meditation, anatomy and more!

Upon completion of this course you will recieve your Teacher Training Certificate and will be able to teach anywhere in the world!

Classical Hatha Teacher Training (Anusara Influence) Program

Directed By Michael Siddall

This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those who work or go to school full time, those who live out of town and those who do not have an excess of free time. For those who are interested in certain aspects of our training, we offer the opportunity for you to participate in individual modules within our program. We take pride in offering you a comprehensive training that gives you a solid foundation from which to explore and deepen your practice, while learning to guide others.

Techniques /Teaching Methodology / Practicum (104 Hours)

This topic will include asanas, chanting and mantra. The hours will include both training in the techniques of Classical Hatha Yoga and the practice of techniques. It will also include principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, and qualities of a teacher and the student's process of learning. The last topic to be covered will be practice teaching, receiving feedback and giving feedback regarding observation of fellow teacher trainees.

Anatomy and Physiology (25 Hours)

This topic includes both Physical Anatomy (bodily systems, organ, etc.) and Energy Anatomy/Physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.)

Philosophy, Ethics & Lifestyle (25 Hours)

Includes the study of Yoga Scriptures (Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Tantric Philosophy), ethics for yoga teachers, ‘the life of a yogi', etc.

Pranayama and Meditation (24 Hours)

Includes the practice of classical pranayama techniques as well as a variety of meditation practices.

Ayurveda (12 Hours)

Kids Yoga (5 Hours)

Pre / PostNatal Yoga (5 Hours)


Tuition: EARLY BIRD: $3,500 +gst (before Dec. 9 '09)

$3,700 +gst (after Dec. 9 '09)

Includes free yoga classes from date of registration until completion of the program.

Ashtanga Teacher Training Program
